On May 15, according to information from Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tri Quang directed the settlement of the payment of salaries, allowances and related regimes for 77 agricultural extension officials transferred from the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center to the People's Committees of communes and wards.
According to the direction, the People's Committees of communes and wards where agricultural extension officials are received will pay salaries, allowances and related regimes from the beginning of March 2026, ensuring that the rights of officials are not interrupted in the organizational arrangement process.
Payment is made based on salary records, professional titles, salary grades, coefficients, allowances and current regimes of each public employee. The Provincial People's Committee requests localities to implement it to the right subjects, on time and not to let errors occur in the payment process.
Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee also assigned communes and wards to coordinate with specialized agencies and relevant units to fully review the list of transferred civil servants, avoiding the situation of overpayment, incorrect payment or omission of benefits for employees.
At the same time, localities are required to coordinate with social insurance agencies to continue to fully implement insurance regimes for agricultural extension officials after receiving them to work in the locality.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to direct the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center to quickly hand over complete civil servant dossiers to communes and wards to serve management and pay regimes according to regulations.
Previously, Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee had a decision to transfer 77 officials from the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center to the Commune-level People's Committee, arranged at the Commune-level Public Service Centers from March 1, 2026. However, due to the unconsistent timing of the transfer decision between agencies, problems arose in paying the March salary to these officials.
