Main crop selection
Choosing the right key crops, linking production with improving quality and building brands has helped local agricultural products gradually affirm their position in the market.
Mr. Le Xuan Thuan - Chairman of Truong Xuan Commune People's Committee - said that the locality has suitable climate and soil conditions for developing perennial industrial crops. In which, coffee and macadamia are identified as two key crops, bringing high economic value.

In recent years, the commune has oriented the development of these two products according to OCOP criteria. At the same time, the commune has propagated and mobilized people to change their production thinking, boldly invest, apply science and technology, and form concentrated raw material areas in a sustainable direction.
In Truong Xuan commune, there is currently beCHAMP Dak Nong organic agricultural product cooperative with the main product being organic coffee.
After completing the raw material area and production process, the Cooperative's coffee products have achieved 3 star OCOP certification. Thereby, creating motivation for people to stick with clean agricultural production.

To date, the cooperative has 46 members, about 120ha of crops of all kinds. Of which, 70ha of coffee is produced according to organic processes.
Another encouraging thing is that the cooperative has up to 18.2ha of organic coffee certified by beCHAMP, contributing to improving product quality and meeting market requirements.
Mr. Ha Cong Xa - Director of beCHAMP Dak Nong Organic Agricultural Products Cooperative - said that with the initial results achieved, the cooperative is aiming to expand the scale of organic coffee production to about 100 households, with an area of 250ha. In which, striving to have 50ha achieve international organic certification.
Expanding raw material areas and improving production standards will contribute to affirming the Truong Xuan coffee brand, while improving income and improving the lives of Cooperative members," Mr. Xa shared.
Improving the value of agricultural products
Besides coffee, Truong Xuan commune also focuses on developing macadamia trees, with about 70 hectares cultivated, a part of the area has achieved OCOP 3 stars. Macadamia is assessed to be suitable for local conditions, with stable and long-term economic efficiency.
People not only pay attention to the planting and care stage in a safe and organic direction, but also focus on harvesting, preliminary processing, product preservation, ensuring quality and meeting the requirements of modern distribution channels.

Along with improving quality, the locality supports OCOP entities to complete dossiers, production processes, build brands, improve packaging and designs; promote product promotion through communication, fairs, trade promotion and digital platforms, and expand consumption markets.
The development of OCOP products from coffee and macadamia not only brings economic efficiency but also creates jobs, contributes to stabilizing people's lives and is associated with building new rural areas.

According to Mr. Le Xuan Thuan, in the coming time, the commune will continue to strengthen production - consumption linkages, encourage organizations and individuals to participate in the OCOP Program.
Thereby, gradually improving the value of agricultural products, affirming the brand of Truong Xuan coffee and macadamia, towards sustainable rural economic development.
