On August 31st, news from Khanh Hoa Provincial Police said that during the National Day holiday of September 2nd, the police of communes and wards in the area still organized the receipt of ID card applications and registration, activation of electronic identification accounts, creating favorable conditions for people to take advantage of the holiday time to complete procedures.
In Phuoc Dinh commune, each turn of citizens coming to complete procedures was guided and supported by police officers to complete dossiers quickly.
In Van Ninh, many young people preparing to enter the new school year and people working far away returning to their hometowns have taken advantage of holidays to make ID cards, register and activate electronic identification accounts.
In Bao An ward, Ninh Chu ward, Thuan Nam commune and many other localities, dossier receiving activities are also being urgently implemented.
Human resources and vehicles are arranged appropriately; police officers proactively guide and support people, limiting the need to travel many times.
According to the plan of the Director of the Provincial Police, the entire force is focusing on reviewing and mobilizing citizens who have not been issued ID cards or are subject to card renewal. At the same time, the Police force organizes registration, issuance and activation of level 2 electronic identification accounts for eligible citizens.
As of August 25, 2026, the whole province has issued ID cards to 2,037,552/2,227,101 permanent residents, reaching 91.48%.
For permanent residents aged 6 and over, 1,979,974/2,066,228 cases were issued ID cards, reaching 95.82%. For level 2 electronic identification accounts, 1,689,379/1,979,974 accounts have been activated, reaching 85.32%.
In phase 1 of the peak period, from August 27 to August 31, 2026, the Police of communes and wards proactively make lists, notify and guide citizens.
The receipt of ID card applications is combined with the registration, issuance and activation of level 2 electronic identification accounts.
Local police forces, forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level, the Youth Union and related forces are mobilized to support people to perform public services, activate and use the VNeID application.
The arrangement of officials to work during the holidays is to meet the needs of the people, especially those who take advantage of time to return to their hometowns or prepare to enter the new school year to complete procedures.
