On March 24, Hue City Police just held the opening ceremony of the 9th "For National Security" Health Congress in 2026.
The Congress was held in an atmosphere of emulation to celebrate the success of the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; towards celebrating the 51st anniversary of Hue Liberation Day, the 51st anniversary of Southern Liberation Day, national reunification and the 80th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day.
This is a 5-year periodic sports event, aimed at evaluating the physical education and sports movement, creating a healthy playground, and strengthening exchanges and solidarity among the police force.
The Games attracted more than 1,000 athletes from 16 delegations, representing 66 units and localities, competing in 7 events including badminton, Chinese chess, pickleball, tug of war, men's football, men's volleyball and armed running - cross-country.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Colonel Duong Van Thoan - Deputy Director of Hue City Police emphasized that the sports movement in the force has been maintained regularly in the past time, contributing to improving physical strength, will, bravery and discipline for officers and soldiers.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the competition contents were deployed according to plan at many locations in the city.
