On the afternoon of June 29, Lang Son Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the decisions of the Minister of Public Security and the Director of the Provincial Police on organization, staff, and implementation of the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee related to the arrangement of commune-level administrative units.
The ceremony was held directly at the Provincial Police hall and connected online to 65 commune-level Police bridges in the area.
At the ceremony, the leaders of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Provincial Police announced Decision No. 5159/QD-BCA of the Minister of Public Security on the establishment of Lang Son Provincial Commune-level Police; along with decisions of the Provincial Police Director on the transfer and arrangement of 65 Commune-level Police Chiefs.
Accordingly, Lang Son officially established 4 ward police and 61 commune police, corresponding to 65 commune-level administrative units after the arrangement. The decisions take effect from July 1, 2025.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, congratulated the newly established Provincial Police force and 65 commune-level Police units.
The leader affirmed that the consolidation of the commune and ward police apparatus according to the new administrative organization model is an important milestone, demonstrating the determination of the Party, State and the Public Security sector in building a disciplined, elite and modern People's Public Security force, meeting the requirements of ensuring security and order in the new situation.
Mr. Son also suggested that the Commune-level Police force quickly stabilize the organization, receive the area, and effectively carry out assigned tasks; at the same time, always be close to the people, understand the people, and serve the people.
Also at the program, Colonel Nguyen Tien Trung, Director of the Provincial Police Department, requested the Commune and Ward Police forces to focus on implementing 8 key tasks, including: stabilizing organization and ideology; promoting the role of the leader; closely coordinating with local Party committees and authorities in ensuring security and order; grasping the area, reviewing records and subjects, preventing hot spots from arising...
Immediately after the ceremony, 65 police units and wards in the province simultaneously held a ceremony to announce and hand over the decisions to the Deputy Chiefs of the Commune Police and announce the list of officers and soldiers working at each unit.
