According to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper on January 23 at the Lac Dia freshwater reservoir project (Ba Tri district, Ben Tre province), many workers are still working hard on construction items of the project.
Mr. Tran Minh Phuong - a technical officer of Chan Hung Construction Company Limited, one of the contractors of package 01 of the Lac Dia freshwater reservoir construction project - said that during the time approaching the Lunar New Year 2025, at the construction site, workers were still working enthusiastically, taking advantage of the opportunity to quickly eat a bowl of rice to complete the construction on time, bring the project to the finish line early and hand it over as committed to the investor.


Mr. Le Minh Truyen - Deputy Director in charge of the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Agricultural and Rural Development Works of Ben Tre province - said that package 01 of the Lac Dia freshwater reservoir construction project has completed about 85% of the volume according to the contract value, while package 02 has reached about 40%.


Mr. Le Minh Truyen shared that when completed and put into use, Lac Dia freshwater reservoir will meet the domestic and production water needs of people in Ba Tri district. The project ensures a continuous, uninterrupted supply of clean water, especially during the dry season. Currently, the Project Management Board is directing contractors to overcome difficulties and speed up progress to soon complete the project according to the set goals.
The Lac Dia freshwater reservoir construction project (Phu Le commune, Ba Tri district, Ben Tre province) is invested by the Ben Tre Provincial Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Agricultural Works and Rural Development. This project has a total investment of more than 352 billion VND, and will be implemented from 2021 to 2025. With a capacity of about 1.3 million m3, Lac Dia reservoir is considered the largest artificial freshwater reservoir in the West under construction.
