From early morning, when the mist still covered the mountainsides, the construction site of Muong Khuong Ethnic Minority Boarding School TH&THCS (Muong Khuong commune, Lao Cai province) started a new working day.
Each truck carrying sand, stone, and cement connects in and out. The sound of concrete mixers, the sound of hammering into steel frames echoes in the quiet mountain and forest space.
In the construction area of the classroom building block, workers' groups divided each task. The group erected steel reinforcement, the group poured concrete, the group installed formwork... Each person did their own thing, rhythmically according to the carefully calculated construction plan.

To shorten the time, many construction teams are deployed in parallel. Machinery and equipment are mobilized to the maximum. Areas that have completed the foundation quickly move to the frame building and wall construction stage.
According to a representative of the construction unit, teams are currently arranged to work in rotation 3 shifts a day to maximize time and ensure project progress.
Mr. Sung Seo Sang - a local worker - said that he and more than 20 workers in the commune are working at the construction site.
The terrain in the highlands is steep, and transporting materials is quite difficult. But everyone is trying because this is a school project for students in the border area, and their children will benefit later. If the project is delayed in the rainy and storm season like every year, construction will be much more difficult," Mr. Sang confided.

Not only constructing during the day, many items are still maintained in the evening to keep up with the progress. Lighting systems are installed throughout the construction site, helping workers' groups continue to work when it is dark.
Engineer Hoang Quoc Cuong, Deputy Commander of the construction site, said that working 3 consecutive shifts is quite hard, but the brothers are all united.
In the primary school building block, the concrete floor has been completed, and steel columns of the 1st floor are being installed. The secondary school block is building foundation walls and installing steel floor molds. Meanwhile, the boarding house block, an important item serving students in remote areas, is also being accelerated...
We determine that this is a meaningful project, so everyone tries to do it quickly but still ensure quality. Each person has a part of the job, together completing it on schedule," Mr. Cuong said.

Mr. Vu Van Hoang - official of the Lao Cai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board - said that currently, the construction site has over 300 workers and many machines and equipment operating continuously.
For the ground leveling part, we mobilized about 18 transport trucks, 6 rollers, 2 bulldozers and 7 excavators. The construction site is being implemented according to a 3-shift, 4-shift plan, with 24/7 on-duty supervision," Mr. Hoang informed.

According to Mr. Hoang, this is one of the large-scale educational projects in the locality, with a total investment of about 215 billion VND, to meet the learning needs of highland students.
The project was started on November 9, 2025 with many items such as classroom buildings, administration buildings, dormitories, dining rooms, multi-purpose buildings... striving to be completed before August 30, 2026.
