In the past 12 hours, from 7:00 p.m. on September 8 to 7:00 a.m. this morning, the flood on the Gam River in Bao Lac District rose rapidly, the water level was at 199.26m, 1.26m higher than alert level III and is still rising. On the Bang River at Bang Giang Station (Cao Bang City), the flood rose rapidly, this morning, the water level was at 182.84m, 0.34m higher than alert level III and continues to rise.
Other accompanying natural disasters such as landslides on steep slopes, floods maintained the level of flooding in low-lying areas along the Gam River in Pac Mjau town (Bao Lam district) and low-lying areas along the Bang River in Cao Bang city.
The flood disaster risk warning level is level 2. Last night (September 8), people in the whole Cao Bang province could not sleep because the floods on the rivers rose too quickly.
To protect their property, people had to evacuate all night. During this process, people were supported by armed forces. According to a quick report from the Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee, up to now 391 houses have been damaged. In Cao Bang City alone, 308 houses were flooded.
