The Prime Minister has just signed and issued Decision No. 1556/QD-TTg on the assignment of additional development investment expenditure estimates and public investment plans of the central budget in 2025 to ministries, central and local agencies.
The total capital supplemented from the increased central budget revenue in 2024 is 33,680 billion VND, allocated to development investment projects under the medium-term plan 2021-2025. Of these, Da Nang city was allocated an additional 500 billion VND to implement the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 14D through the old Quang Nam province (now in Da Nang city).
The National Highway 14D renovation and upgrade project is one of the key traffic projects, playing a role in connecting localities in the Central - Cao Nguyen Trung region, while serving the development strategy of the western border area of Da Nang City. The addition of 500 billion VND from the central budget is considered a timely support source so that the project can be launched on schedule in the period of 2021-2025.
Da Nang City leaders commented that this investment resource not only supports the locality in removing traffic infrastructure bottlenecks, but also opens up opportunities for socio-economic development for disadvantaged areas, promotes regional linkages and attracts investment.
The Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and localities assigned to supplement capital to manage and use for the right purposes and subjects, fully complying with the provisions of the State Budget Law, the Public Investment Law and related legal documents. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure investment quality, progress, and efficiency, avoiding loss, waste, or negativity during the implementation process.
