Tho Chau Special Zone, is a frontline archipelago in the Southwest of the country, more than 200km from the mainland, the movement is mainly by boat and depends heavily on weather conditions at sea. Therefore, the National Election Council allows the organization of elections of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels 7 days earlier than the national election day as prescribed. This not only ensures the political rights of people in the island region but also creates favorable conditions for organization, because difficulties in travel may affect the election progress.

The early election event in Tho Chau shows the deep concern of the Party and State for people living in remote sea and island areas. Preparation at the polling stations was carried out thoroughly, ensuring security, order and implementing the correct procedures.
