On the morning of February 18, the Dak Lak Department of Transport announced that it would stop organizing driving tests for cars and motorbikes from February 18, 2025. The reception of applications for issuance, renewal and re-issuance of driving licenses is also expected to stop before February 19, 2025.
This decision is to prepare for the handover of the task of testing and granting driving licenses from the Ministry of Transport to the Ministry of Public Security.
Previously, the Vietnam Road Administration issued a document requesting the Departments of Transport to coordinate with local police to fully prepare related content, ensuring quick and compact handover, without affecting the people.
The Departments of Transport need to develop a reasonable testing plan, receive and complete the issuance of driver's licenses for documents submitted before February 19, 2025.
In Dak Lak, there are currently 13 driving training facilities, including 1 type I testing center, 3 type II testing centers and 7 points for installing automatic scoring devices for testing A1 motorbikes.
