Dak Lak reviews and compares dossiers of officials resigning under Decree 178

Dak Lak - Working groups are thoroughly reviewing and comparing dossiers of retired officials according to Decree 178.

On September 9, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee informed that the Department of Finance is presiding over and coordinating with the Department of Home Affairs and relevant units to urgently review, explain, and clarify each recommendation of the State Audit Office for cases that are resolved policies according to Decree 178/2024/ND-CP, amended and supplemented by Decree 67/2025/ND-CP.

At the same time, the Department of Home Affairs of Dak Lak province has established 6 groups to review dossiers of cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees who are resolved policies according to the above decrees.

According to the decision, 6 working groups started reviewing from September 8 and must complete all work before 11 am on September 11. The heads of each group are leaders of the Department of Home Affairs of Dak Lak province.

A member of the working group said that the volume of work and dossiers to be reviewed and processed is very large. The whole province has about 3,000 people being resolved policies according to Decree 178.

According to the direction, the working groups must complete the review in 3 days. However, if the review is thorough and the dossiers are fully compared, completing it during this time will be difficult.

The working groups will work in accordance with the guidance of the Ministry of Home Affairs, then compare additional information from the State Audit to have appropriate and satisfactory reports, members of the working group said.

According to research, after completing the task, the working groups will summarize the results and report to the Department of Home Affairs to advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct the resolution. At the same time, the province will have a plan to handle individuals and collectives involved if violations are detected.

As Lao Dong newspaper has reported, the State Audit Office previously pointed out some inadequacies in the process of implementing the policy of arranging and streamlining the apparatus in Dak Lak.

The locality has considered and approved 3,387 cases of early retirement and resignation, higher than the expected number in the initial project of the Provincial People's Committee.

The State Audit Office discovered 45 cases of being dismissed on the grounds of "not meeting task requirements or job position standards". However, in the previous 3 consecutive years, these people were all assessed as "completing tasks well". Policy settlement for these cases was determined to be inconsistent with the guidance of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

There were 19 cases resolved for dismissal on the grounds of inadequate health, but the dossiers did not have complete medical documents and professional basis to prove it.

The establishment of 6 working groups aims to review dossiers, clarify cases of improper implementation and promptly advise on handling plans according to regulations.
