On November 18, the Traffic Police Department of Quang Ngai Provincial Police said that heavy rains that have lasted for many days have caused landslides in many places in the Lo Xo Pass area (the section bordering Quang Ngai province and Da Nang city), endangering vehicles.
At many points at the foot of the pass in Da Nang City, many large blocks of rock and soil spilled onto the road, narrowing the travel route.
Some locations still have water flowing strongly from the mountainside, with a high risk of further landslides. The authorities have arranged warning signs and mobilized people to be on duty 24/7 to guide vehicles through the area.

The authorities mobilized excavators, dump trucks and mechanical equipment to clean up. However, due to unstable weather, the processing progress encountered many difficulties.
To ensure safety, the authorities have advised people, especially heavy truck and long-distance passenger car drivers, to temporarily limit travel through Lo Xo Pass towards Da Nang City during bad weather.
In case of forced movement, reduce speed, observe warning signs carefully and absolutely do not stop or park near the foot of the slope.
Relevant units said they will continue to monitor the weather situation, proactively level and overcome to soon ensure smooth traffic again.
