Quang Ngai - Lo Xo Pass on Ho Chi Minh Road has completely reopened after many days of traffic congestion.

On October 31, a representative of Road Management Area III said that it has now opened two-way traffic in the Lo Xo Pass area on Ho Chi Minh Road, the section connecting Quang Ngai province and Da Nang city.

Many truck drivers who were stuck due to floods and landslides are now happily moving through the pass to Da Nang City, bringing goods to the northern provinces and cities.

From October 26 to 30, due to prolonged floods, Lo Xo Pass experienced dozens of landslides. The construction and maintenance unit of the road has just cleared one point but another has landslides, with the amount of rock and soil spilling onto the road up to thousands of cubic meters.

In addition, the Truong Son Dong route from Ngoc Tem to Kon Tum (old) has also been cleared of rocks and soil to reopen the route, ensuring safe transportation. In particular, there are still two landslides towards Da Nang City that need to be handled and cannot be opened to traffic.

It is estimated that during this flood, only two routes have had more than 70 landslides. Many workers and vehicles have been mobilized, staying on the road, working in the midst of dangerous floods and storms to strive to clear traffic.
