On August 27, the Office of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee said that Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Huynh Minh Tuan directed relevant units to urgently deploy legal and technical procedures to be ready to receive more Red-crowned Cranes from Thailand.

This is a good sign for the implementation of the Red-crowned Cranes Conservation Project in Tram Chim National Park for the period 2022-2032 announced by Dong Thap province on December 12, 2024. Previously, at the working session on receiving and caring for Red-crowned Cranes after receiving them from Thailand in April 2025, the Thai Zoo and Botanical Gardens and Nakhon Ratchasima Zoo committed to supporting 8 more Red-crowned Cranes.

Including 2 adults, serving reproduction. Expected to take place in 2026. This will be an event of special significance, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Thailand.
It is known that Tram Chim National Park was once chosen by the Red-crowned Cranes as a place for migration during the dry season. At one point, this place once welcomed over 1,000 Red-crowned Cranes to live.
