On January 27, Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee worked on the situation of implementing compensation and site clearance for the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh expressway expansion project.
According to the Southern Expressway Project Management Board of Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC), to date, through mobilization, 100% of the area belonging to the project section through Nhon Trach commune (about 0.13ha with a route length of nearly 1km) has been handed over to the investor. For the section through Long Thanh and An Phuoc communes, basically the site has been handed over on the ground, and construction vehicles have approached the construction site to deploy construction.
Speaking at the working session, Mr. Ho Van Ha - Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee said that the project to expand the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh expressway section is a project implemented under an emergency construction project to serve the traffic connection between Long Thanh airport and Ho Chi Minh City and requested to complete the payment of compensation and support to households in the project area before the 2026 Lunar New Year.
The Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh expressway expansion project is nearly 22 km long, of which the section passing through Dong Nai province is 13 km long. To serve the project construction, Dong Nai province must recover more than 4 hectares of land, with 417 land plots in Nhon Trach, Long Thanh, An Phuoc communes.
