On December 17, the Department of Construction of Khanh Hoa province confirmed that the department's working group had directly inspected the scene of landslides on National Highway 27C - the main traffic route connecting Khanh Hoa with Lam Dong.
The inspection aims to assess the safety level, thereby proposing a suitable traffic organization plan in the context of the route still facing many potential safety risks.
According to the records, landslide remediation work is being urgently deployed by the authorities.

Although thousands of cubic meters of soil and rock have been cleared from the road surface, in many locations, mud and soil are still thick, some large rocks cannot be moved out of the danger zone, posing a potential risk of traffic accidents.
Also in December, authorities detonated blasting to break rocks at some vulnerable locations.
However, the remaining volume of landslides is still very large. Currently, excavators continue to be mobilized to clean up and level the road surface; some sections on Khanh Le Pass can only organize one-way traffic when all safety conditions are ensured.
It is expected that the treatment of soil and rock and the repair of the remaining landslides will be completed in about a week. If the weather is favorable and the technical requirements are met, the authorities will consider the option of opening the Khanh Le Pass route around December 21 - 22.
As Lao Dong reported, the particularly serious landslide at Khanh Le Pass occurred at around 10:30 p.m. on November 16, at Km45 QL27C, in Bo Lang village, Nam Khanh Vinh commune.
At the time of the incident, a 40-seat passenger car with license plate 59H-531.14 was traveling in the direction of Da Lat - Nha Trang when it suddenly had rocks and soil from the mountainside pouring down, including many large rocks, causing severe damage to the vehicle.
Due to prolonged heavy rain and the landslide location between two other landslides at Km43 and Km47, rescue vehicles could not access the scene immediately.
It was not until around 0:00 on November 17 that the rescue force reached the main landslide site. The consequences left 6 people dead and 19 injured.
After the accident, heavy rain continued to cause many new landslides, mud covered the road surface, and some sections were seriously eroded.
National Highway 27C was almost paralyzed for a long time, greatly affecting travel and freight transport between Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong provinces.
