On the evening of December 11, according to Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), runway No. 1 of Long Thanh airport lit up the lights to prepare for the first technical flight on December 19.
In addition, cleaning the runway and taxiway is also being urgently carried out, preparing for the first technical flight.

Previously, on the evening of April 26, 2025, the Long Thanh airport runway lighting system was also lit, successfully tested, and issued runway lighting, serving standard flights.
The lighting system uses 100% LED technology imported from Europe, meeting the highest technical standards in the field of international aviation. Along with that, Long Thanh airport is also equipped with an ILS/DME accurate landing gear system, helping to guide aircraft to approach and land safely, even in bad weather conditions.
These two systems are synchronously combined to ensure the take-off and landing process takes place safely and with absolute accuracy in all weather conditions, improving the exploitation capacity and stability of the airport.
The completion and operation of the modern lighting system is an important technical milestone, affirming ACV's commitment to applying the most advanced technology solutions at Long Thanh airport.
