On May 8, Mr. Vo Van Minh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the 93rd meeting of the Provincial People's Committee.
The meeting gave opinions on many public investment projects for key transport infrastructure projects, notably the Saigon Riverside Road project, the section passing through Thuan An city bordering Thu Dau Mot city.
According to Mr. Vo Van Minh - Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee, the guiding viewpoint of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee is to prioritize resources for key projects under implementation and feasible projects preparing to be implemented in 2025. In particular, for the key project of the Saigon riverside road (from Bay Tra canal to Ba Lua canal), it is necessary to soon complete the project feasibility report to submit at the next meeting.
The complete Saigon riverside road project from Bay Tra canal to Ba Lua canal will contribute to the opening of the route from Thu Dau Mot city to Thuan An city along the riverside road axis. At the same time, it will connect with the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project under construction.
It is known that the project from Bay Tra canal to Ba Lua canal is about 2 km long. According to initial calculations, the project has an investment capital of about VND 2,133 billion, of which the cost of site clearance is about VND 1,447 billion, the construction cost is about VND 409 billion.
Binh Duong wants to invest in nearly 100km of Saigon River road
The portal portal of Binh Duong province said that recently the provincial leaders had worked with departments and localities related to the implementation of the project to invest in building roads along the Saigon River. According to the project, the total length of the entire road along the Saigon River is nearly 100 km. This route will guide the connection with the parallel road 3, Ring 4, DT744. At the same time, the road along the river will be the driving force to develop some projects of the logistics industry such as developing An Son port cluster, An Tay port cluster, Phu Cuong Thinh port.
Currently, Thu Dau Mot city and Thuan An city are prioritizing the construction of short sections to connect with the existing road axis. In the future, Ben Cat city and Dau Tieng district will continue to invest in the next sections.
