On July 23, the Department of Construction of Gia Lai province announced that it had issued a notice to stop fixed trips to pick up and drop off cadres, employees and workers from Gia Lai to Quy Nhon for work.
Previously, the Department of Construction coordinated with transport units in the province to organize 2 transportation rounds, mobilizing 41 vehicles with a total of 1,149 seats, transporting 943 people from Pleiku to Quy Nhon and vice versa.
The funding source is more than 237 million VND, implemented by the Department of Construction from transportation and driver training units in the industry.
However, some agencies and units registering the travel needs of civil servants are not close to reality. There are cases of slow registration, wrong registration time frame or registration but no participation, causing waste and expense.
Recently, on July 22, the Provincial People's Council voted to pass a resolution on support policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in Gia Lai province affected by the rearrangement of administrative units. Including travel funding support.
To ensure proactiveness and avoid waste, the Department of Construction announced the suspension of the plan to organize fixed bus trips as in the past. Civil servants will choose their own transportation unit, travel time frame, and travel method suitable for their personal work and living needs.
Civil servants can choose from types such as fixed-line vehicles, contract vehicles, or private vehicles. In addition, the provincial Department of Construction has also instructed bus companies to register to exploit the Pleiku - Quy Nhon route to meet the travel needs of people, officials, and civil servants.
