On October 19, Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc and the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee had a field survey of the coastal route from Cat Tien commune to Hoai Nhon Bac ward; listened to a report on the Project to relocate ships at Quy Nhon Fishing Port and De Gi Fishing Port.
According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the province is focusing on strongly developing types of services and tourism, while implementing the Strategy for Sustainable Development of the marine economy to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

In the coming time, about 2,561 fishing vessels will be relocated to anchor at Tam Quan Fishing Port, including 469 from Quy Nhon Fishing Port and 2,092 from De Gi Fishing Port.
To serve the relocation, the province plans to expand the area of the fishing port and anchorage area to about 95 hectares towards the sea, and at the same time build a resettlement area of about 30 hectares for affected households.
Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan emphasized that the relocation of ships and boats is necessary to create favorable conditions for the development of services, tourism and effectively implement the marine economic development strategy.
The goal in the coming period is to reduce the intensity of seafood exploitation, reduce fleets, develop sustainable seafood, and develop a master plan for the province's fisheries sector.
At the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc highly appreciated the way of viewing and thinking "deeply, big things" in setting out tasks and solutions for socio-economic development of all levels and sectors.
He requested the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee to speed up the progress of adjusting the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; develop a roadmap and specific development solutions for each stage, ensuring feasibility and synchronization throughout the province.
The Provincial Party Secretary also emphasized that each cadre, party member, civil servant and public employee needs to "do a great job" and do a great job, close to the grassroots to grasp reality, promptly remove difficulties, and promote socio-economic development.
