After more than 1 month of implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign" - quickly rebuilding shelters for people affected by storms and floods, Gia Lai province has repaired 27,522 heavily damaged houses, reaching 100%. For 674 collapsed houses that must be rebuilt, the actual progress is over 70%.
To support people, the province has issued many policies, including: households with completely collapsed or swept away houses are supported with 60 million VND/house; households with severe damage are supported with 2-5 million VND/house; poor, near-poor households and difficult families needing repair are supported with 20 million VND/house. To date, the province has spent more than 720 billion VND to support people to build and repair houses and build resettlement areas.

Among the 674 houses to be newly built, the army directly undertakes 106 houses, currently reaching over 40% of the volume; the police force directly supports the construction of 87 houses, has handed over 29 houses, and the rest has reached over 80% of the progress.
The whole province mobilized 2,000 officers and soldiers of the army and police to directly participate in repairing and building, working without days off, determined to rebuild homes for people before the 2026 Lunar New Year.

Recorded in Con Chim hamlet (Vinh Quang 2 village, Tuy Phuoc Dong commune) - a place likened to an "oasis" in the middle of Thi Nai lagoon - with nearly 200 households (more than 1,000 people) living, also suffered heavy damage to houses after storm No. 13.
Due to travel conditions completely dependent on ferries, the cost of transporting construction materials here is many times higher than on the mainland, making it difficult for people to rebuild their houses.

Faced with complex terrain and many isolated residential areas in the middle of the river, Army Corps 34 (Ministry of National Defense) mobilized boats and canoes to transport construction materials, directly supporting people to rebuild their homes.
Ms. Le Thi Truc Ly (32 years old, residing in Con Chim hamlet) shared that storm No. 13 caused her family's small house to collapse completely, her husband and wife and young child had to stay at relatives' houses.

Thanks to the 60 million VND supported by the province, along with the help of philanthropists and borrowing more, my family has the conditions to rebuild the house. Because the roads are isolated, transportation costs are very high, but thanks to the support of soldiers, the house is built faster, and costs are also very economical. Looking at the house about to be completed, my family is very happy and grateful," Ms. Ly expressed.
After 1 month of implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign", the Prime Minister requested localities to focus efforts, accelerate progress, and complete the reconstruction of houses for the people before January 15, 2026.

Implementing this direction, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan requested the Secretaries and Chairmen of People's Committees of communes and wards to be comprehensively responsible for the progress and results of implementation in the area; directly monitor and urge daily, promptly handle arising difficulties and obstacles.
For localities with many unfinished houses such as Tuy Phuoc Dong, Tuy Phuoc Bac, So, Ngo May, De Gi, Dak Song communes, Quy Nhon Dong ward... The Party Secretary and Chairman of the commune level must proactively report and propose to the Provincial Military Command and Provincial Police to strengthen forces when necessary.
Directing construction units to continuously work 3 shifts, 4 crews, taking advantage of maximum time when weather conditions are favorable, determined to complete on schedule.
The Provincial Chairman assigned the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Police to mobilize maximum existing forces, maintain support for localities until the completion of housing reconstruction for the people is complete, not to let the lack of forces affect the overall progress.
