Previously, at 3:00 a.m. on October 5, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department received a report of a traffic accident between two tractor-trailers at the entrance to the Km41 rest stop of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway (from Ho Chi Minh City to Dau Giay) in Xuan Que Commune, Dong Nai Province.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department mobilized the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 7 and 8 to dispatch 2 command vehicles, 2 rescue vehicles and 18 officers and soldiers to the scene to coordinate with the Traffic Control Patrol Team under the Traffic Police Department to rescue the victims.
When arriving at the scene, the reconnaissance team determined that 2 people were trapped in the cabin of a tractor-trailer with license plate 83C-140.xx. The unit deployed a formation to use hydraulic equipment to approach and rescue the victims.
At 5:00 a.m. the same day, the unit had brought the two victims to safety and handed them over to the Traffic Control Patrol Team to take them to the hospital for further treatment.
