In August 2025, the socio-economic situation in Gia Lai province continued to maintain a stable and developing momentum. Agricultural - forestry - fishery production, resource and environmental management operate effectively, animal and poultry epidemics are basically controlled.

The province also ranked 3rd in the country in terms of progress in completing the targets for equipping facilities for the Commune-level Public Administration Service Centers.
In addition to the achieved results, the province still faces challenges in disbursing public investment capital, only reaching more than 60% of the plan (8,400/14,000 billion VND). Many key projects are facing difficulties in procedures, site clearance and construction progress.
Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan highly appreciated the efforts and solidarity of the entire political system and the results achieved in implementing the 2-level local government model.
He requested the entire political system to continue to focus on implementing socio-economic targets, especially in the fields of agriculture, industry - construction, trade, services - tourism, budget collection, public investment disbursement, import-export.
At the same time, promote trade, import-export, service, industry and tourism activities at Le Thanh International Border Gate Economic Zone; speed up site clearance to start new, large-scale and breakthrough projects in 2025.
Regarding the 2-level local government model, it is required that local leaders must have a firm grasp of the work, proactively lead, direct, and assign clear tasks, ensuring smooth decentralization and delegation of power from the provincial to the commune level.
The Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requested leaders of departments, branches and localities to directly direct, inspect and review each project, and at the same time develop a detailed disbursement plan for each stage to promptly remove difficulties. The disbursement result will be the criterion for evaluating the level of task completion of the leader, not accepting blamation.
"The year-end disbursement targets cannot be blamed on anyone, the responsibility belongs to the Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee in disbursing public investment capital," Mr. Tuan emphasized.
