Fire-Living Award: Voting for Inspirational Faces

Selecting 150 outstanding individuals from more than 300 nominations

150 simple but extraordinary individuals who are silently contributing to the community, spreading positive values and aspirations to rise up across the country will be honored in the national award of the Fire-Triggered Guard.

This is an award organized by Dai Doan Dai Newspaper under the direction of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in coordination with Saigon Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation (SABECO). The award ceremony was held at the end of November.

The Council for the "Fire-breaking Man" Award includes: Dr. Nguyen Dang Khang, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Dai Doan Newspaper; Dr. Nguyen Hoang Anh, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of the National Institute of Intellectual Property; Dr. Nguyen Hong Hai, Deputy Head of the Farmers' Affairs Department, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Dr. Trinh Tung, Academy of Policy and Development; journalist Nguyen Cam Thuy, Dai Doan Newspaper; Mr. Vu Tien Cuong, Chief of Office, Dai Doan Newspaper.

This year's "Fire-breathing Famous" award attracted about 300 nominations from 33 provinces and cities. These are all the most typical faces carefully selected by localities to introduce and participate. For example, from 8 nominations of Thai Nguyen (including 5 from the Provincial Fatherland Front and 3 from communes and wards), the Award Appraisal Council has selected 6 outstanding individuals to be among the 150 individuals honored on this occasion.

Mr. Dam Quang Tuyen, Vice Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, said that the Provincial Fatherland Front has selected 5 typical individuals to nominate to the Central Committee. These are all people who have made many contributions to the community, society and the development of Thai Nguyen province in recent years. At the same time, the Provincial Fatherland Front also encourages localities to proactively introduce more typical examples, especially those who have practical actions to help the community in natural disasters and floods.

Dr. Nguyen Dang Khang - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Dai Doan Dai Newspaper, Chairman of the Award Appraisal Council said that before the Award Appraisal Council voted for 150 outstanding individuals, the working delegation of Dai Doan Dai Newspaper had a working session with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of some localities on coordinating the implementation of the "Honour of the Fire-breathing" Program. At the meeting with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen province, Dr. Nguyen Dang Khang assessed the working spirit of the leaders and cadres of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Fatherland Front as serious and responsible for coordinating the implementation of the "Venerable Fire-Trier" Program. The nominations from the unit are all very excellent, with many contributions, helping people and contributing to the community. This is a testament to the strong spread of the movement from the grassroots.

The Chairman of the Award Appraisal Council said that through reviewing and evaluating nominations from provinces and cities, based on the announced selection criteria including the subjects, key areas and core voting criteria, the Council has selected 150 outstanding faces to honor. Along with online voting from the community, the Council will evaluate and select 15 most deserving faces to honor nationwide.

Honoring inspirational individuals

The 2025 "Fire-Living Famous" Award with the theme "Vietnamese People - Fire-Living Fires for the country's progress" selects 150 inspiring faces from different localities, fields and regions. They can be simple people with persistent and silent contributions (teachers, farmers, commune doctors, volunteers...); innovators in the community creating new solutions for the environment, healthcare, culture, vocational training...; those who preserve cultural identity, connect tradition with the younger generation; are excellent workers, engineers, and laborers - representing the productive and innovative strength of Vietnam and individuals representing the younger generation, startups, and actively changing the local economy.

Individuals honored in 6 areas to comprehensively reflect sustainable development and a beautiful lifestyle in the community:

Vocational education - Training: Support the community to improve capacity through vocational training, soft skills, career orientation or create learning conditions to reach out to disadvantaged communities.

Community development: Create positive changes, help develop rural cultural life.

Sustainable environmental development: Honoring actions for the environment, preserving natural resources and practicing sustainable lifestyle - production.

Culture - art - sports for the community: Preserve national identity, promote artistic creation, or have initiatives through sports to promote solidarity, build spirit.

Balanced lifestyle and community health: Encourage an active, balanced lifestyle and foster a culture towards comprehensive health and a sense of responsibility in the community.

Science - technology for the community: Honoring technology & applied science initiatives to support sustainable development for local communities.

Along with that are 5 core criteria for evaluation (optional) including the ability to replicate: Having models or methods that can be widely applied; Commitment: Showing perseverance, dedication and transparency in the journey of dedication; Sustainability: Towards long-term value, with the ability to maintain and develop; Creativity: Bringing new solutions, suitable for the context of Vietnam; Impact: Bringing real change to the community, in line with policy orientation.

Additional priority factors (ensuring representation and social justice) such as ensuring representation and social justice; Gender: Balance between men and women and transgender people (if any); Ethnicity & religion: Encourage nomination for ethnic minorities, religions...

The Organizing Committee informs the Award Committee to prioritize new factors from the community: Individuals who have never received major awards at the central or international level; Discoverted from the nomination system of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the grassroots level or introduced by the community; Having practical activities but have never been widely communicated.

Spreading positive life values

The "Fire-breathing Famous" Award is part of the "150 years of heritage ascension" campaign initiated by SABECO to mark the 150th anniversary of SABECO's heritage, inheritance and development. Many community-based activities are also organized such as the "Heritage Journey" event, lasting two months, passing through 9 localities from Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Vinh Long, Vung Tau, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Binh Dinh, Nghe An and ending in Hanoi. This journey brings opportunities for people across the country to share their pride and aspiration to rise.

At the same time, there is a series of "Heritage Night" events in 5 key localities, where attendees can learn more about SABECO's heritage through exhibitions, beer experiences and brand history display spaces. The "Fire-breathing spread honor" award is the highlight of the campaign when it spread across localities across the country, creating a strong spread in the community. 150 faces selected from nearly 300 nominations are the most outstanding individuals introduced by localities to participate in the award. Not only concentrated in one place, in one field, this award has a scope of spreading across provinces and cities, spanning across many fields along with many meaningful activities that spread strongly. In particular, online voting for the 15 most inspiring stories has created a community interaction factor, demonstrating the community's concern and recognition for individuals with initiatives and contributions to serve the community.

Opening the gate to vote for the "Fire-breaking Famous" Award

Readers can vote for outstanding fire-breathing faces among the 150 nominees, from now until November 23, 2025.

Honoring the Fire-breathing is an award initiated by SABECO, in coordination with Dai Doan Dai Newspaper, under the direction of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, to honor the silent heroes who have been spreading positive values, contributing to promoting the spirit of Vietnam and the progress of the country.

The 150 fire-bearers nominated for the award are outstanding individuals who have been contributing to the positive change of the community through their work, actions and continuous efforts.

The top 15 most outstanding individuals selected from 150 faces, based on online voting results (70%) and the assessment of the Appraisal Council (30%) will receive the Certificate of Honor, Certificate of Merit and Cup of Honor from the Presidium, Dai Doan Dai Newspaper and SABECO; have the opportunity to connect with SABECO's resources and partner network to expand the model and initiative. The prize standard is 30 million VND. The voting period is until November 23.

Regarding the voting regime: Each participant (imeil address) has the right to vote once for each candidate and can vote for many different candidates throughout the program.

Scoring structure: Based on the weighting structure, including 70% of the scores from online voting results and 30% of the scores from the Central Assessment Council's assessment.

Scoring criteria: Each nominated individual will be judged based on 5 core criteria.
