In particular, Road Traffic Police Team No. 10, Hanoi Traffic Police Department - CATP organized patrols and controls at Ba La intersection, Ha Dong district, focusing on handling violations of freight transportation.
During the patrol, the authorities focused on detecting and handling three- and four-wheeled vehicles carrying long, sharp materials such as corrugated iron, steel, or oversized, overloaded goods that pose a potential safety risk to road users. Cases of motorbikes and mopeds carrying goods exceeding the prescribed limit are also subject to strict inspection.
Major Quach Anh Tuan, Head of the Working Group of Traffic Police Team No. 10, said: "Violations of overloading are the direct cause of traffic accidents, especially in the Ha Dong area - where there is high trade density, bordering many districts. Violations will be strictly handled according to regulations. During the performance of their duties, the Traffic Police will increase propaganda to raise people's awareness".
From May 15 to now, the Traffic Police Department has handled 151 violations, including 85 cases of using homemade three- and four-wheeled vehicles; 66 cases of transporting bulky goods and towing other vehicles.
In addition, the authorities have also mobilized people to voluntarily dismantle and cut off 26 three-wheeled vehicles that are not qualified for circulation.
In the coming time, the Traffic Police Department will continue to strengthen inspection and resolutely handle violations of freight transportation, while coordinating with local authorities to promote propaganda and mobilize people not to use homemade vehicles, contributing to building a safe and civilized traffic environment, especially in urban areas with high traffic density.
