The Project Management Board and localities are required to direct contractors to mobilize maximum human resources, equipment, and organize construction simultaneously according to the principle of "shelving", building gas roads with countdown progress.
The city also launched the emulation movement "3 shifts, 4 teams", striving to complete the progress milestones and bring some projects such as Tu Lien Bridge, Tran Hung Dao, Ngoc Hoi... to the finish line before APEC 2027.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment is assigned to be the focal point to coordinate with Phu Tho and Ninh Binh provinces and investors to ensure the supply of construction materials, meeting the progress of projects.
At the same time, the Department coordinates with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to monitor the issuance of a Decree guiding the Law on Geology and Mineral Resources, promptly advise on removing obstacles in the dike, serving the work of starting and implementing construction.
It is known that according to the orientation of adjusting the General Planning of the Capital, Hanoi will build 7 more bridges across the Red River, including: Lien Trung, Tam Xa, An Duong, Ngoc Thuy, Cu Khoi, Bat Trang and Khuyen Luong.
When these projects are completed, combined with the existing bridge system and 4 bridges that have started construction in 2025 (Tran Hung Dao, Tu Lien, Ngoc Hoi, Thuong Cat), the total number of bridges across the Red River in the central urban area will increase to 21 bridges.
This is considered a strategic step to expand urban space, enhance inter-regional connectivity and reduce traffic pressure for inner-city areas.
