Hoang Liet Ward People's Committee (Hanoi City) said that it has directed the contractor to complete the technical opening of this road no later than April 15, 2026.
The project "Building a road adjacent to the North-South railway and Linh Dam lake" (the section connecting Nguyen Huu Tho street with Hoang Liet street) is about 470m long, with a cross-section of 17m; expected to be completed in June 2026.
This is the first project of Hoang Liet ward since the 2-level local government model went into operation. The road is invested synchronously, in accordance with the plan, including full traffic and technical infrastructure items; ensuring smooth connection between Nguyen Huu Tho street and Hoang Liet street, and effectively exploiting the traffic space in the area bordering the North-South railway and Linh Dam lake.
According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of Hoang Liet Ward People's Committee, when completed, the road will contribute to improving people's travel conditions, reducing local traffic pressure, creating motivation for socio-economic development in the area. In particular, traffic pressure on the Nguyen Huu Tho - Hoang Liet axis will be significantly reduced, especially at the time of closing the level crossing for North-South trains to travel.
The project started in early December 2025. Although it does not require site clearance, the contractor consortium including HUGIA Investment and Development Joint Stock Company and Hanoi Railway Signal Information Joint Stock Company still faces difficulties due to high labor and material prices, and vehicles transporting materials are restricted from operating during the day.
Talking to a representative of the contractor, Chairman of Hoang Liet Ward People's Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan acknowledged the efforts of the construction unit. He said that through voter meetings before the election, people in Linh Dam area hope that the government will urge the contractor to accelerate progress and soon open the route before the summer peak.
After surveying and actual inspection at the site, the Hoang Liet ward government requested the contractor to develop a suitable construction plan, accelerate progress, and ensure technical traffic opening before April 15, 2026, 45 days earlier than planned.
