Two sisters drowned in the Ma River

    Thanh Hoa - Two young sisters went swimming in the river and unfortunately slipped, leading to a tragic drowning incident.

    On the night of May 23, information from the People's Committee of Tam Chung commune, Muong Lat district (Thanh Hoa) said that the authorities and the family had found the bodies of two drowning sisters in the Ma River.

    Accordingly, at around 1:30 p.m. the same day, the two sisters G.T.L.C (8 years old) and G.M.B (5 years old), residing in Pom Khuong village, Tam Chung commune, went swimming in the Ma River with friends. While swimming, G.M.B unfortunately slipped and fell into the river, Ms. G.T.L.C immediately jumped down to save him. However, because both of them could not swim, they were swept away by the water.

    Immediately after receiving the news, local authorities, functional forces and people organized a search.

    At around 6:00 p.m. the same day, the bodies of the two children were found and handed over to the family for funeral arrangements according to local customs.
