On October 24, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province said that it had reported to the Ministry and central agencies about the need to allocate VND 8,626 billion from the central budget to carry out compensation and site clearance for the project.
The high-speed railway project on the North - South axis, the section passing through Khanh Hoa province, has a starting point in Dai Lanh commune ( bordering Dak Lak province) and an ending point in Phuoc Ha commune ( bordering Lam Dong province), with a total length of about 191.8km, passing through 29 communes and wards of the province.
According to the plan, there will be 2 passenger stations, 1 cargo station and 4 maintenance stations in the province.
The Provincial People's Committee has issued a plan to implement compensation, support and resettlement; assigned the investor to carry out site clearance work to the Provincial Project Management Boards.
Up to now, localities have basically completed statistics on affected land areas and the number of households needing to be resettled.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Huyen requested relevant departments, branches and sectors to proactively review and focus on accelerating the progress of assigned tasks, ensuring the handover of the site on schedule to serve this national key project.
