On May 28, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a leader of Kim Lu Commune Police (Na Ri) said that he had identified the person who drove a motorbike into a death hole on National Highway 3B on the evening of May 26.
Accordingly, the missing person is Mr. Nguyen Duy Ph. (born in 1989, residing in Kim Hy commune, Na Ri district).
According to this person, as soon as the incident was discovered, people reported it to the local authorities.
The authorities quickly arrived at the scene and began a search, but so far no whereabouts have been found.
On the same day, rescue work continued to be urgently deployed with the support of many specialized units.

Vehicles such as specialized cameras, field pumps, and handmade equipment continue to be mobilized to serve the search for victims under the hole deeper than 10m.
Currently, the authorities are still blocking off the scene, ensuring the safety of the people and focusing all their efforts on rescue work.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, from the end of March 2025 to present, in Kim Lu commune (Na Ri, Bac Kan), 7 sinkholes have appeared, directly threatening the lives and property of people in the area.
Of which, the landslide on National Highway 3B is about 7m long and 5m deep, located in the middle of the median strip. However, the hole gradually enlarged, 8.6m long, 8.5m wide, and 8m deep on average. At the bottom of the sinkhole, there is an underground water mach and a 5.3m deep frog's jaw.
Faced with the increasing trend of subsidence, Mr. Nong Quang Nhat - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Kan province signed and issued a decision to declare an emergency situation regarding natural disasters for the above phenomenon.
At the same time, the province also requires the use of soil, stone, and concrete to fill the sinkholes; closely monitor developments in the field; proactively evacuate people when necessary and arrange temporary accommodation and necessary logistics conditions.
