7:15 p.m. on February 13, Ship 637, Squadron 511, Brigade 127, Naval Region 5 Command was on duty at sea, 70 nautical miles west-southwest of Hon Khoai Island (Ca Mau Province) when it received a signal requesting help for fishermen with temporary abdominal pain and mild fever from fishing boat number BT 97439 TS.
As soon as the information was received, officers and soldiers of Ship 637 quickly approached and took the fishermen with a stomachache onto the boat. After examination, the military doctor of Ship 637 initially diagnosed the fishermen with excess intestinal pain.
The medicines of Ship 637 provided medicine and instructed the BT 97439 TS ship to urgently take the fishermen to the mainland for emergency care. At 8:00 p.m. the same day, the BT 97439 TS ship left the 637 mobile ship to return to the mainland.
It is known that the fisherman (suspected to have excess intestinal pain) was born in 1985, residing in Ben Tre province. The fishing boat is captained by Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong, permanent resident of Tra Vinh province. On board were 2 crew members paired with fishing boat BT 97339 TS.
