On the afternoon of June 18, the Ministry of Home Affairs held a press conference to provide periodic information with many outstanding work results in the second quarter.
One of the outstanding results is that the Ministry of Home Affairs has submitted to the Prime Minister for promulgation a Directive on arranging villages and residential groups and arranging, using, regimes, and policies for non-specialized personnel at the commune, village, and residential group levels.

According to representatives of the Local Government Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs, 34/34 provinces and cities have completed the overall plan for arranging villages and residential groups. Localities are focusing on developing projects to implement them in order to streamline the apparatus and improve operational efficiency at the grassroots level.

The arrangement of villages and residential groups not only aims to streamline focal points and improve the efficiency of state management, but also focuses on preserving cultural and historical values and the inherent cohesion of the residential community.
In addition, the Ministry of Home Affairs is developing a Project on salary policy reform; submitting to the Prime Minister for consideration and promulgation of the Operating Regulations of the Steering Committee for salary policy reform, social insurance and preferential treatment for people with meritorious services.
At the same time, advise the Government to issue a decree stipulating the base salary and bonus regime for cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces; Decree adjusting pensions, social insurance allowances, monthly allowances and guiding circulars. Continue to review and complete the content of the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Social Insurance.

Regarding the proposal to add 2 days off on National Day of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, a representative of the Department of Employment of the Ministry of Home Affairs said that there are many streams of information, so the unit is also monitoring and grasping more public opinion information as well as according to the direction of levels to be able to advise the Government.
The Ministry of Home Affairs is accelerating research and proposing solutions related to grassroots cadres to limit the disparity in staffing, cadre qualifications and workload between communes and wards. Solutions are built in a direction suitable to the specific characteristics of each area, while comprehensively strengthening the capacity of grassroots cadres in the spirit of "Year of work to improve the quality of grassroots cadres".

On this occasion, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs - sent congratulations on the 101st anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2026).
Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha emphasized the role of the press in information and propaganda in the fields of the internal affairs sector, and at the same time wished the press to continue to accompany the internal affairs sector, spreading policies and guidelines closer to readers.
