On the morning of October 30, information from the Central Hydrometeorological Station, measured data on the Thu Bon River (Da Nang City) showed that the water level was higher than the historical flood peak in the year of the Dragon6.
Up to now, the water level in the upstream and midstream of the Vu Gia - Thu Bon river is decreasing slowly.

Notably, the water level at 7:00 a.m. on October 30 on the Thu Bon River in Hoi An was at 3.32 m, 1.32 m above alert level III. In the next 6-12 hours, floods on the Vu Gia - Thu Bon river will continue to recede slowly and fall above alert level II.
In particular, the Thu Bon River in Cau Lau and Hoi An continues to be above alert level III.

With such a high level of flooding, Hoi An ancient town is still submerged in immense water today. The Hoai River is flooded with no banks, the entire ancient town is surrounded by floodwaters.

Many people in Hoi An ancient town said that at around 2-3am on October 30, the water level rose to the historical peak. In recent days, people's daily activities have been disrupted, in deeply flooded areas, authorities have had to supply necessities because they are completely isolated.

Ms. Le Thi Nga (living on Hai Ba Trung Street, Hoi An Ward) - said that the flood rose early this morning, her house was flooded up to the first floor.
"All of my family's activities for the past few days have been on the 2nd floor, and the authorities have provided meals and provisions," said Ms. Nga.

To support people, in recent days, the People's Committee of Hoi An Ward has also mobilized human resources to transport essential food to support households still stuck in deeply flooded areas.

According to the Da Nang City Military Command, up to now, the whole Da Nang has 29 communes and wards that are heavily flooded, including Hoi An ward.

Notably, Hoi An central ward recorded 5,826 households being flooded, accounting for over 80% of the ward area, with flooding levels from 0.5 - 2m.
