On January 27, Standing Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh and leaders of departments, agencies, and branches had a working session with the High-Level Delegation of Vientiane Capital (Laos), led by Comrade Tha Nong Xay Khut Phay Thun, Head of the Investment Promotion and Economic Management Committee of Vientiane Capital.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh happily welcomed the delegation, believing that the visit would strengthen the traditional friendly relations between Vietnam and Laos, especially between Hue City and the Capital Vientiane.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh informed about the outstanding achievements of Hue City and the plan to implement the action program to implement the Resolution of the 17th City Party Congress, aiming to build Hue into 4 centers: Education - training, Culture - tourism, Science - technology and specialized medicine.
He proposed that the two sides continue to exchange delegations, cooperate in training, support trade development and investment promotion, and at the same time encourage tourism cooperation, organize cultural exchange activities during the Hue Festival, and develop inter-route tours between Hue - Central Vietnam - Vientiane.
In response, Comrade Tha Nong Say Khut Phay Thun thanked Hue City for the reception and wished to continue cooperation, especially in learning experience about the Public Administration Service Center (TTPVHCC) and building smart cities. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening effective exchange and cooperation between the two cities.
Also at the working session, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh introduced the TTPVHCC model of Hue City, affirming the important role of the Center in improving the efficiency of administrative procedure resolution, applying information technology, and promoting digital transformation.
