In the context of increasingly urgent requirements for economic and social recovery and development, Hung Yen province is focusing on removing difficulties, speeding up the implementation of public and non-budgetary investment projects, especially in urban areas, residential areas, industrial parks and economic zones.
The whole province currently has 175 investment projects in the urban and housing sectors that have been approved for investment, with a total area of over 3,000 hectares. Of which, 113 projects have completed site clearance (GPMB) and are under construction.
In addition, the province has 16 industrial parks that have been established and put into operation with a total area of over 3,648 hectares, an occupancy rate of nearly 70%, attracting 698 projects with a total investment of about 7,479 million USD and over VND54,000 billion.
However, the implementation process still has many problems such as slow site clearance, scarcity of filling materials, and investors being slow to implement even after allocating land. Some industrial parks in the Economic Zone have an occupancy rate of only about 46%.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Than proposed to establish a working group to remove obstacles for the projects; requested departments and branches to coordinate in reviewing and clearly identifying the necessity of each project, ensuring focused investment, avoiding spreading. At the same time, strictly implement the handover of documents and records and speed up the disbursement of public investment capital.
Regarding non-budgetary capital, the province requires accurate assessment of investors' capacity, early synthesis of projects to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for comments. The Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to compile a list of new industrial clusters to report at the upcoming meeting of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee Standing Committee.
On-site inspection, increased supervision and professional guidance are also required to be implemented synchronously, in order to promote substantial and sustainable progress for projects in the province.
