Due to the impact of storm No. 5, Yen My commune (Hung Yen province) experienced prolonged heavy rain, causing the water level of rivers and canals to rise, causing local flooding in some residential areas. In this situation, the commune government and the police have proactively deployed many response measures to limit damage to the people.
On August 27, Yen My Commune Police mobilized more than 30 officers and soldiers divided into 3 working groups to go directly to the grassroots, supporting people in Dong My and Quan Ngoc villages to move their assets and livestock to a safe place when water from the Bac Hung Hai River overflowed into their homes. At the same time, the police force coordinated with the security of Nghia Xuyen village to reinforce the embankment of Dam Sen pumping station, ensuring the safety of crops and people's property. All commune police officers also deployed 100% of their troops to the unit, closely following the situation and being ready to respond to unexpected situations.

On the same day, Chairman of Trinh Hong Tuyen Commune People's Committee directly inspected Trung Dao pumping station (Trung Dao village) and Dam Sen pumping station, directing cadres, employees and localities to focus on water drainage, clearing water flows, and ensuring drainage.

The Chairman of the Commune People's Committee requested the Yen My Irrigation Works Exploitation Enterprise to coordinate with local authorities to immediately handle vulnerable works according to the "4 on-site" motto to protect production and people's lives.

In addition, Ms. Le Thi Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee also inspected Dao Khe pumping station, Canh Lam 1, Canh Lam 2, directing units and villages to focus on mobilizing human resources, vehicles, and machinery to deploy drainage, minimizing damage to agricultural production and people's lives.
