Diversifying forms of communication
Ia Lap (Dak Lak province) is a border commune in a particularly difficult situation. In recent years, the local economic conditions have not developed well, and the infrastructure has not met the development requirements in the new period.
The economic life of the people mainly depends on agricultural production, so their income is still low, and the material life of the people still faces many difficulties. However, in 2025, the commune's economic growth rate will start to change positively when people boldly invest in production and business in many fields.
Currently, the whole Ia Lap commune has 1,914 households with 6,446 people. Of which, 938 households are ethnic minorities with 3,331 people.

The number of poor households of ethnic minorities in Iaiap commune is currently 424 households with 1,728 people, accounting for 45.2%. Compared to 2024, the number of poor households among ethnic minorities has decreased by 6.1%.

Faced with the above situation, the People's Committee of Ia Lap commune has implemented many diverse forms of communication. In particular, the locality focuses on broadcasting, integrating and propagating hunger eradication and poverty reduction policies in village meetings and Party cell activities.
At the same time, organize dialogue forums with people; distribute leaflets, hang billboards, and posters in places where people can easily observe.
The communication content focuses on major policies such as poverty reduction policies, encouraging people to change production practices, applying science and technology, borrowing capital for the right purposes, and diversifying livelihoods.

Ms. Vi Thi Hang (residing in Iaiap commune) shared: "My family is near-poor, I work for hire, my job is unstable. In recent years, local authorities, village chiefs and prestigious people have often come to encourage my husband and I to strive to develop the economy and take care of our father's education.
Although there are still many difficulties, family life has become less difficult. The biggest motivation for me to strive is the government's support to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. With a spacious home, I will try to work and produce to escape poverty by 2026".

Mr. Nguyen Duy Khang - Secretary of Trung village Party Cell ( Iaiap commune) said: "five years ago, the lives of the villagers were still very difficult, many households were lacking food and clothing, even though their families worked together, they still could not get better. Thanks to the correct policies and guidelines of the Party and the appropriate policies of the State, people are supported with breeding cows, water tanks, crops... to develop the economy.
Party cell secretaries and village heads spread policies, propagated, and motivated the people. Thanks to that, the number of poor and near-poor households in the village has decreased significantly in recent years".

Innovating rural appearance, sustainable poverty reduction
Thanks to the right communication work, the poverty rate of Ia Lap commune has gradually decreased over time. Many households boldly convert crops and livestock, effectively exploiting preferential loans. A part of young people actively work and produce, learn knowledge, and contribute to increasing family income.

Mr. Bui Tien Hoat, Vice Chairman of Ia Lap Commune People's Committee, said: "A highlight in the commune's poverty reduction communication work is the focus on promoting the role of village cadres and prestigious people in the community.
Through the motto " saying to the people, doing the people believe", this force has become an important bridge, bringing policies closer to the people, creating consensus and spreading the spirit of overcoming difficulties and escaping poverty".

In the context of sustainable poverty reduction continuing to be a key task of the entire political system, the Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee affirmed: "In 2026, the Ia Lap Commune People's Committee has proactively and effectively taken advantage of resources from the National Target Program to promote poverty reduction communication, contributing to raising awareness, changing people's thinking and actions.
The methodical, flexible approach, in line with practical conditions has created clear changes, contributing to innovating the appearance of border rural areas, promoting the economic and social development of ethnic minority areas".
