On July 16, information from Tuyen Quang Provincial Police said that prolonged heavy rain in recent days in the area has increased the risk of landslides of soil and rocks on many roads.
In the early morning of July 16, at Km15+900 on provincial road 184, the section from Phu Linh commune to Vi Xuyen commune, about 200 cubic meters of rock from the positive slope suddenly slid down the road surface.

A large amount of rock covered the road surface, causing traffic through the area to be completely paralyzed. Fortunately, the landslide did not cause any casualties or property damage.
After receiving the information, Phu Linh Commune Police force was present at the scene to regulate traffic, coordinate with units to deploy handling plans, ensuring safety for people and vehicles.
Along with that, the road maintenance unit has mobilized excavators and manpower to focus on breaking rocks and handling the volume of landslide soil and rocks in order to soon clear the route.
By 1 pm on the same day, the road was cleared.
According to forecasts, the situation of heavy rain in the area is still complicated, and the risk of landslides in hilly and taluy areas is still high.
Tuyen Quang Provincial Police recommend that people limit traveling through roads at risk of landslides when it rains heavily.
