On July 15, information from the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) - said that the site clearance work at the rest stop has been basically completed.
Currently, the Petrolimex consortium is mobilizing maximum human resources and equipment to urgently deploy key items such as: public toilets, parking lots, driver rest areas, gas stations and electric vehicle charging stations.

According to the plan, public service items will be completed and put into use first, and it is expected that all rest stops will officially operate from January 2026.
The project to invest in the construction and operation of the Km 427+035 rest stop is invested by the Petrolimex consortium (including Vietnam National Petroleum Group and Thua Thien - Hue National Petroleum Company).
The project has a total investment of nearly 340 billion VND, with a scale of 81,000m2. During the construction period, the temporary stop will still operate to serve the needs of passengers traveling on the route.
The nearly 88km long North-South Expressway section through Nghe An, including the two component projects Nghi Son - Dien Chau and Dien Chau - Bai Vot, has been completed and put into operation. This is the only rest stop on the entire route through the province.
