On October 4, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued a document to pilot the implementation of Electronic Health Book for integration on VNeID application.
The pilot implementation will ensure compliance with the roadmap for implementing Decision No. 4750/2023 of the Ministry of Health at all medical examination and treatment facilities that provide health insurance (HI) examination and treatment; enhance the application of information technology and digital transformation to connect information generated during the medical examination and treatment process of people at public and private medical facilities to serve the work of medical management accurately and promptly.
The pilot will apply to all medical examination and treatment facilities that provide health insurance examination and treatment in Khanh Hoa province, applicable to all types of outpatient examination, outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment, day treatment, prescription and medication collection by appointment, and remote medical examination and treatment.
According to the plan, the locality will divide it into 2 phases. Accordingly, phase 1 aims for 100% of medical examination and treatment facilities to complete the registration and issuance of data interconnection codes for medical examination and treatment facilities; 100% of medical examination and treatment facilities within the scope of the pilot project will complete and ensure the conditions for preparing data interconnection at medical examination and treatment facilities as prescribed. Phase 1 is to be completed before December 31, 2024.
In Phase 2, Khanh Hoa province aims to have 100% of medical examination and treatment facilities deploy receiving and registering for medical examination and treatment using ID Card Number, Personal Identification Number, Health Insurance Card Number; recording, signing and connecting data of VneID Electronic Health Book; receiving medical examination and treatment using VNeID Electronic Health Book.
Evaluation of pilot implementation results completed phase 2 before March 31, 2025.
VNeID (short for "Vietnam Electronic Identification") is an electronic identification application on mobile devices developed by the National Population Data Center, under the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam. The application has both Android and iOS versions.
This application was officially put into use by the Ministry of Public Security from July 18, 2022.
The VNeID application was created to replace traditional documents and identify citizens on a digital platform. Accordingly, VNeID allows the integration of all personal documents of citizens on a digital platform such as Citizen ID, driver's license, health insurance card, social insurance card, vehicle registration certificate, etc.
