The East-West Road Construction Investment Project, Ninh Binh Province (Phase I) is a route of great significance in creating momentum for economic, social development, and tourism development in Ninh Binh Province. On April 18, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Pham Quoc Chinh - Director of the Ninh Binh Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor) of the East-West Road Construction Investment Project, Ninh Binh Province (phase I) said that after 36 months of construction, the project has completed the main items, meeting the conditions for inauguration and putting them into operation to serve the economic development and travel of the people.
The project has a total length of 22.95 km with 4 lanes. Particularly, the segment of km0+000 - km1+640.58 (from the beginning of the route to the intersection of the North - South Expressway) has 8 lanes of urban planning. The route is built according to grade II road standards, design speed of 100km/h, phase I Designing the design speed of design speed is 80km/h. Group A project with a total investment of nearly VND 2,000 billion.
The project has a particularly large construction volume, with a site clearance scope of about 163.69 hectares with a total of 990 households and individuals affected, but in a short time, localities with roads have handed over clean land to investors for construction contractors to focus on installing machinery and equipment to speed up the project's progress.
"With the efforts and involvement of the entire political system, the project has been shortened by 20 months compared to the approved project schedule. This is the largest traffic project ever in Ninh Binh approved by the locality. The project will be officially inaugurated and put into operation from December 19" - Mr. Chinh said.
