The groundbreaking ceremony took place at Km93+400 of IC 06 intersection, Tien Long hamlet, Quang Uyen commune. This is also one of 34 direct connecting points with the participation and direction of leaders of the Party, State and ministries and branches.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Cao Bang Provincial Party Secretary Quan Minh Cuong emphasized 5 key tasks in the coming time.
He requested the entire political system and people of Cao Bang province to unite and be highly determined to soon complete and put the expressway project into operation.

The Steering Committee, the People's Committee of Cao Bang province, and a consortium of investors and construction units focus on site clearance, resettlement, optimization of design, strict management of progress, costs, quality, and construction of model works.
Local authorities closely follow the province's instructions, promote propaganda, create consensus and favorable conditions for construction.
Investors and units consider this a key project, closely coordinated, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency and progress.
Lang Son province continues to coordinate and accompany Cao Bang to complete the expressway, creating a common development momentum for the two provinces.


The Dong Dang - Tra Linh Expressway has a total length of 121 km, divided into 2 investment phases with a total investment of nearly VND23,000 billion.
The starting point of the route is at the intersection of Tan Thanh border gate area (Lang Son province), connecting to the section connecting Huu Nghi - Chi Lang expressway with Tan Thanh border gate and Coc Nam border gate of Lang Son province. The end point is at the intersection of the road to the Tra Linh border gate economic zone (Cao Bang province).
Phase 1 of the project started on January 1, 2024, with a length of 93.35 km, including 2 mountain tunnels and 64 overpasses across the Ky Cung and Bang Giang rivers along with many streams and provincial roads.

Phase 2 of the project is invested in the form of PPP, including expanding the entire 93.35 km of phase 1, and investing in an additional 26.47 km connecting to Tra Linh border gate.
The total investment for phase 2 is VND 12,072 billion. In phase 2, contractors will deploy the construction of 17 new bridges and 3 tunnels across the mountain.
Phase 2 of the project is implemented under the PPP method, BOT contract by the consortium including Deo Ca Group Joint Stock Company, 568 Construction Investment Group Joint Stock Company, Hoang Long Construction Investment Corporation - Joint Stock Company, DCT 559 Investment Joint Stock Company, Tan Thanh Joint Stock Company.


At present, the investor and contractor consortium is mobilizing 3,229 personnel and 1,456 machines and equipment, implementing construction on over 287 construction sites. The output reached VND 3,980/10,600 billion (38% of the contract value), equivalent to 60% of the output of the route in 2025.
It is known that in phase 2, the two enterprises responsible for the design and construction are 568 Construction Investment Group Joint Stock Company and Hoang Long Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company.
According to the road network planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister, the Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway is part of the Tien Yen (Quang Ninh) - Lang Son - Cao Bang expressway (CT.10 horizontal expressway route).
