In the face of the complicated developments of storm No. 15, Da Nang city is urgently implementing measures to ensure safety for ships and residential areas, especially in areas at risk of landslides after more than a month of prolonged floods.
Storm No. 15 is forecast to maintain strong intensity and move complexly in the East Sea, potentially affecting the operation of ships and bringing heavy rain. The Da Nang City Military Command strictly maintains the combat readiness and command and duty regime; ensures smooth communication and continuously announces the location and direction of the storm to call on ships to take shelter.

The City Defense Command coordinates with local Party committees and authorities to implement the "4 on-site" motto, inspect vulnerable points and be ready to mobilize forces to support people to build houses and relocate when necessary. Agencies and units proactively grasp the developments of storms, review disaster prevention plans, and prepare adequate means, equipment, and logistics for mobile response.
The coordination between the forces has been strengthened, especially in areas where heavy rain, landslides, flooding, lakes and riverside areas often occur. For more than a month, consecutive floods have caused cracks and eroded soil to appear in many locations in mountainous areas, posing a high risk of landslides. Forces have organized the evacuation of people at dangerous locations.
Colonel Phan Van Thi, Deputy Commander - Chief of Staff of the Da Nang City Border Guard, affirmed that the top priority is to ensure the safety of people in landslide areas, and said that the lives of people during the flood avoidance period are still guaranteed.
