On October 4, Mr. Vo Tan Duc - Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee - chaired a meeting on the progress of site clearance for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway project and said: The province has committed to the Prime Minister to hand over the project site before October 15. Therefore, Bien Hoa City and Long Thanh District must focus on completing the approval of compensation and support plans for the remaining cases before October 10.
Mr. Vo Tan Duc requested the Department of Home Affairs to monitor and synthesize by October 15, the communes and wards that hand over 100% of the land will be rewarded by the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee. On the contrary, communes and wards that have not handed over enough land will be subject to disciplinary action.
Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway passes through Phuoc Tan and Tam Phuoc wards (Bien Hoa city) and 9 communes and towns of Long Thanh district.
Up to now, Bien Hoa City has handed over nearly 30 hectares/59 hectares, reaching 50% of the total area to be handed over.
Long Thanh district has handed over nearly 49 hectares, reaching nearly 63% of the total area to be handed over (for component project 1) and more than 124 hectares, reaching more than 82% of the total land area to be handed over (for component project 2).
