On March 16, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Kon Tum province said that tonight at the 16.3 Square, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day (March 16, 1975 - March 16, 2025) of Kon Tum province.
Currently, preparations for the ceremony have been basically completed, ready for the event to take place solemnly and meaningfully. This process has the active participation of all levels, sectors, localities and people.
The ceremony will have a special art program with nearly 20 elaborate performances, recreating the heroic battles of the army and people of Kon Tum during the war, as well as the achievements after 50 years of liberation.

The program has the theme "Kon Tum dawn", with the participation of 400 singers, artists, and actors from the Provincial Center for Culture and Arts, soldiers of BB990 Regiment and the Artisans of Plei To Nghia village (Quang Trung ward, Kon Tum city).
In addition, many meaningful activities were also held on this occasion such as: Offering incense, commemorating at the Provincial Martyrs' Cemetery and the House of Stele Named Martyrs of Division 10; Visiting and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the Armed Forces, war invalids, sick soldiers, policy families...
Kon Tum province also organizes a contest to learn about history, celebrate major holidays in 2025; Literature - art composition camp and Documentary Photo Exhibition with the theme " Kon Tum 50 years after the National Reunification Day".
In recent days, Kon Tum city has been brilliantly decorated with banners, slogans, and flags in central areas, squares, and major streets.
