Family is a solid support
After merging the two provinces of Quang Binh - Quang Tri and placing the administrative center in Dong Hoi ward, many cadres and civil servants began a new journey according to the roadmap for arranging the administrative apparatus. Many people left their hometown for the first time, bringing their whole family to a new land.
For Ms. Le Thi Ly (born in 1985, residing in Dong Ha ward), the life after the merger was a big turning point, both challenging and opening up unexpected opportunities.
"When we received the decision to change jobs, my husband and I went to the new administrative center together. At that time, I was very worried, worried about where to live, worried about my children's education and worried about whether I could adapt," she shared.
Getting used to the way of life in the countryside, leaving work, schools, neighbors, relatives... to move the whole family to a new place is not easy.
However, after only a few weeks, her family gradually caught up with life in Dong Hoi ward and found a place to rent. Her two daughters have also met new friends. "The most important thing is that the whole family is together, together they encourage each other. Thanks to that, I have more motivation to try every day, she said.
Ms. Ly said that the new working environment at the provincial administrative agency is also a challenge. Many processes, procedures, and work relationships must be rebuilt from scratch. However, the help from her colleagues, the trust from her superiors and the proactive change from herself helped her quickly stabilize her mentality and integrate with her new job.
Adapt to go further
Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai - an officer of the Department of Political and ideological Affairs - Student Affairs, Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri is also one of the first people to take up the assignment at the new headquarters in Dong Hoi ward. He is currently renting a house and living with some colleagues, while his wife and two children are still living in Gio Linh commune (Quang Tri).
"The first days were really hard, from the place to live to the lack of children. But I determined that this is an opportunity to practice and contribute, so I always keep a positive spirit. Every weekend I drive home to visit, both to encourage my wife and children and to give myself more energy, Mr. Hai shared.
Although they have not been able to reunite for a while, Mr. Hai always believes that with perseverance and support from his family, life will soon be more stable. "My biggest wish is to soon arrange for the whole family to live together, to be stable for a long time, to take care of work and maintain family happiness," he expressed.
Not only Ms. Ly and Mr. Hai, but many other officials and civil servants are also in the process of adapting to the new administrative center. Everyone is in the same situation but has one thing in common: the spirit of overcoming difficulties, adapting and hoping.
Ms. Le Thi Huong, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri, said that after moving to a new work location, the staff, civil servants and public employees of the Department have gradually adapted to the environment and work rhythm.
Since the second week, the Department has deployed a collective kitchen to support daily life, currently more than 30 staff have registered to eat here. In addition, the Department proactively encourages the spirit of cadres during the work process.
