From sworn relationships
On the Lam Dong - Mondulkiri border line, bilateral exchange, patrol, information exchange and support activities for the people are regularly deployed, thereby strengthening understanding and building trust between the border protection forces and the people of the two countries.

Currently, the Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard maintains a model of twinning between 3 border posts and 3 border protection police stations under the Mondulkiri Provincial Police Department.
In which, Nam Na Border Guard Station is affiliated with Dak Chom Station; Dak Dam Border Guard Station is affiliated with Dak Cho Station; Bu Prang Border Gate Border Guard Station is affiliated with Dak Dam Border Gate Police Station.
From twinning relationships, officers and soldiers of the two sides have more conditions to exchange information, share experiences and coordinate in performing tasks. When incidents arise, information is exchanged promptly, helping the two sides proactively handle them right from the grassroots level.
Along with professional coordination, people-to-people diplomacy is emphasized. The program "Raising children to school" continues to be maintained in Cambodia.
Currently, the Border Guard of Lam Dong province supports and sponsors 12 poor students in particularly difficult circumstances in Bu Sa Ra commune, Bet Chan Da district and Dak Dam commune, O Rang district, Mondulkiri province.
Colonel Nguyen Thanh Dinh - Commander of the Border Guard Command of Lam Dong province - said that border guard foreign affairs work is implemented by the unit with specific and practical actions, aimed at long-term effectiveness.

“We not only focus on coordination in border management and protection, crime prevention and control, but also pay attention to friendly exchanges, sisterhoods, and support for the people of both sides. When the forces of both sides understand each other, trust each other, and the people are attached, that is the foundation for building a stable, peaceful and developed border line,” said Colonel Nguyen Thanh Dinh.
Joining forces to maintain peace in the border region
Border guard foreign affairs are associated by the Border Guard of Lam Dong province with the task of managing and protecting territorial sovereignty and border security.
The two sides regularly exchange information, coordinate to protect border lines, national border markers, prevent crime, prevent illegal entry and exit, smuggling and trade fraud.
Disaster prevention and control, epidemics, rescue and relief work is also focused on. The two sides promptly exchange information on epidemics in humans, livestock, and poultry to proactively plan for prevention.
In which, bilateral patrols are maintained to inspect the field, grasp the situation and handle arising issues.

Major Kong Dam - Deputy Battalion Commander of Battalion 115, Mondulkiri Provincial Military Sub-region - said that the two forces especially focus on coordinating to prevent and combat illegal entry and exit, smuggling, drug transportation and cross-border crimes.
At Bu P'rang Border Gate Border Guard Station, foreign affairs work is associated with border gate management.
Officers and soldiers regularly coordinate with Cambodian functional forces to manage people and vehicles crossing the border, exchange information and handle arising incidents.
Senior Lieutenant Colonel Pham Quoc Tuan - Commander of Bu Prang Border Guard Station - said that the unit combines professional work with propaganda and mobilization of people to comply with the law, respect border lines and markers, and participate in protecting sovereignty and border security.
On the Lam Dong - Mondulkiri border line, bilateral exchange and patrol activities and support for the People contribute to consolidating trust, fostering solidarity and friendship, creating a foundation for the two sides to coordinate in maintaining security and order and building a peaceful and stable border line.
