At the meeting, a representative of Ha Tinh Provincial Police informed that the authorities had extracted the dashcam, collected statements from the parties involved and coordinated with the Department of Criminal Science (C09) to conduct a technical assessment of the vehicle.
The driver initially admitted that the vehicle had a flat tire that caused him to lose control. However, the official cause is being investigated and clarified.
The Director of Road Management Area II informed that the road section where the accident occurred on National Highway 1A, which was repaired in 2022, has a full safety system.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee Le Kim Thanh assessed that this was a particularly serious accident, causing serious consequences for both people and property, many of which were family members.
Mr. Thanh requested the investigation agency to clarify the cause of the incident, paying special attention to factors such as vehicle conditions, driver's capacity, route - route direction, role and responsibility of the transport unit.
Before that, Mr. Le Kim Thanh also went to the scene of the accident to check the situation. The delegation also visited Ky Anh General Hospital to visit the victims who were being treated and encouraged the families to overcome the pain soon.
Here, Mr. Le Kim Thanh expressed his deep condolences to the victims' families, and at the same time requested that the authorities, local authorities and the transport sector coordinate to clarify the incident.
As Lao Dong reported, at around 2:10 a.m. on July 25, at Km571+800 National Highway 1A, through Dong Trinh Residential Group, Song Tri Ward, a sleeper bus with license plate 43F-007.76 driven by driver Le Ngoc Thanh (born in 1989, residing in Thanh Hoa Province) crashed into a milestone on the side of the road and overturned, killing 10 people and injuring 14 others.

The authorities have conducted a test of the alcohol and drug concentration of this driver and the result is negative. This passenger bus still has a waiting period for inspection.
Da Nang City authorities confirmed that the passenger bus 43F-007.76 that had a serious accident in Ha Tinh had its transportation badge revoked from July 16, 2025 and was no longer legally operating on a fixed route or a contract vehicle.
A leader of the Department of Construction of Da Nang City said: Since the time of revoking the badge, the city's authorities have not reissued the badge in any form to this passenger car. Using vehicles for transportation business is not in accordance with regulations.
