On December 1, the Trieu Co Commune Police (Quang Tri Province) said that the 2 artillery shells discovered in the area had been brought to the centralized explosive site for handling according to regulations.
Previously, people in Ba Tu and Phuong An villages (Trieu Co commune) were gardening and discovered 2 artillery shells left over from the war.
Upon receiving the information, Trieu Co Commune Police coordinated with the Commune Military Command to inspect, at the same time notify the specialized agencies and advise the People's Committee of Trieu Co Commune to install warning signs to protect the area where the explosives were discovered.
On December 1, the MAG mine clearing unit arrived at the scene and determined that these were two 130mm and 105mm artillery shells. Both were moved to the centralized blasting site for safe detonation.
